Recent Acquisitions from the Victoria University of Wellington Art Collection

21st-Century Collecting brought together some recent acquisitions to the Victoria University of Wellington Art Collection. Focusing in particular on new media, photography and conceptual art by a range of emerging and established artists, including Billy Apple, Mladen Bizumic, Philip Dadson, Sonya Lacey, John Lake, Jae Hoon Lee, Louise Menzies, Campbell Patterson, Ava Seymour, Sriwhana Spong, Elizabeth Thomson and Boyd Webb, the exhibition raised provocative questions about the nature of contemporary practice and the challenges facing those who are its custodians.
